Bernardino D’Auria, known as Dj Balu, was born in 1980. He started to participate in the parties of the techno scene in Naples in the late nineties. His strong passion for music allowed him to buy his first console: two Technics 1210 and a pro 405 mixer. From here he started his career as a DJ, and since 2000 he became Dj Balu.
He introduces himself as follows: «Sometimes, we miss, and really need to hear the old-school techno sounds». For one of his most recent releases to be published, Diffuse Reality Records presents his work entitled Lost Culture, a collection of fifteen original tracks, in what we can assure that it is a long play, and that conceptually it is already heavily loaded with.
An old-school atmosphere is quickly heard covering everything with well-managed density and fast-paced rhythms well mediated by the sound design. Reaching an adequate rhythm for the track, it stabilizes in the dynamism of its own structures. From there it only remains to be one with the sound and try to reach the immersion, that dream fulfilled that electronics in the hands of techno offers us since its origins.
