Club Furies

What started as an idea and fructified as a first compilation on Indefinite Pitch was gaining importance to become his own label: ambient matter. The focus is mostly on those sweet ambient techno textures and downtempo beats. All releases will be in album format and will consist of about 60 minutes of music from each artist.

And in times when the rising trend is hard techno, ambient matter goes firmly in the opposite direction. A proposal of music for headphones to enjoy in solitude, whether we are in the middle of nature, or enjoying quiet moments from the comfort of our home. To inaugurate the label, from Grenoble, France, Aiôn Lazura presents an exceptional work of ten original tracks entitled Biotope -word that means living space with specific environmental conditions that allow the development of a community of living beings. The word biotope comes from the Greek bios, meaning «life», and topos, meaning «place».

Aiôn Lazura began exploring electronic music production in 2010. He took it more seriously when he saw his first EP produced on the Mexican label Secuencias Temporales, which gave him his first opportunity as a public producer in 2022, followed a few months later by Liminal Spaces. He then released some remixes and collaborations on some VA, appearing on Melifera Records, Indefinite Pitch, and again Secuencias Temporales.

In July 2024, TRÊVE commissioned him for an ambient podcast and another one for Greyscale on CAMP radio. Speaking of radio, he had the opportunity to participate in a program on Radio Pluriel based in Lyon. Aiôn Lazura‘s music revolves mainly around ambient techno, sometimes deep if not dub, with a touch of cinematic flavor. Ever the explorer, his tracks are very versatile and evolve as life goes on. Always in search of new textures and techniques, he doesn’t like to stagnate in a standard musical style.

The concept of Biotope is not necessarily a utopian or dystopian proposal of the future. It is rather a vision of the artist’s anticipation of that future, perceived in a specific moment and translated sonically. Cold Breeze Generator works as what it claims: a generator of fresh breezes. And it is that when the pace of contemporary life becomes frenetic, and anxiety becomes its sine qua non, stopping becomes counter-current.

I don’t have much more to add, since if in front of the freneticism of hard techno, of which little can be said in words -not for what you think-, for ambient, the auditory contemplation must open all our senses, especially the ear, to enter into an immersive trance in this generator of fresh breezes. Close your eyes, relax your body and mind, and become one with the sound of Aiôn Lazura¸ who takes us into counter-currents with unique biotopes.
