Here comes the next release from our beloved Illegal Alien Records label, which carries a precise rhythm: neither in endless maelstroms nor in extended spaces. This time it’s the return to the label of Dortmund-based German DJ and producer Rostøm. After releases on prestigious labels like Arts and Liberta and almost two years since his last appearance on the tenth edition of the VA Deported Series, Rostøm debuts on Illegal Alien Records with an incredible six-track extended play entitled Void.

The first track of this work, Federkleid, which can be translated as ‘dressed in feathers’ is unmatched techno agility. With those tones of the darkness of the genre, run parallel to unusual agilities that at the same time crackle in the abysses of dormant volcanoes, but latently awake. That is noticeable when the sound of the track enters valleys of silence that serve as a rotor of the sound structure: what has been built and what is missing.

Enter the emptiness of Rostøm‘s sound, which envelops us in a subtle feathery techno dress, quite sophisticated, with enough power to prostrate itself in the depths of the night and the track. Undoubtedly, it is a fantastic debut with us from the German artist.
