Club Furies

Plaster is the electronic music project founded in Rome by Giuseppe Carlini and Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri (early 2008). The two young men were deeply passionate about music production and since their first studio sessions, the sounds of their experiments were really promising and mature. They started playing in most of the experimental festivals in Rome, and their performances were clearly dark and solid with a state-of-the-art mix of ambient music, deep beats, and sharp metallic sounds with a dark attitude.

Textvra Records is the label founded in Rome in 2021 by Gianclaudio Hashem Moniri, a platform to release the music of Plaster, Kaeba, and Clouds After Rain, but also open to new projects. The label’s new reference is signed by Plaster, a duo that returns after they decided to reform it in 2023. The last time they worked together for a full-length release was back in 2014. It’s called Clessidra, and can indeed be considered a work of renewed forces and energies.

Its concept is based on Time, its possibilities, variations, and the reverse of itself. Four are the tracks that fill this intense listening experience. And L’ora Di Vetro is the opening track, which shows a very muscular and minimalistic approach to sounds. Everything here is calibrated and well-connected, and this can be considered a classic Plaster song.

It’s an incredible track, with ample structural capacity, allowing it to show spaciousness between its layers, while the texture is filled with ambient, almost drone-like sparkles and subtleties. The electric circuits of the machines dye everything with tireless energy, which at the same time reaches an imposing sophistication. Everything begins in calm, and everything ends in latent freneticism and calms that fade away in the tiredness of its finitude.
