Our favorite cat, the one who realizes his sound by the hand of an unparalleled creative and a performance in the spectacular sound design, presents one of his most recent releases. Cat can do presents Acid Ave by Insane Industry Recordings, a music label of Dark, techno, Industrial, and Raw since 2015, based in Trieste, in the northeast of Italy. This is a collection of six original tracks that bring with them the full sound of the Canadian producer, currently based in Alicante, Spain.
Like most of the sounds we have heard from cat can do, the freshness, spontaneity, and electric connection is enviable. Sound traces become deep sentimental traces; sonic layers swirling behind sincere and direct thoughts. All this through the mediation of the machines at his disposal, to which he squeezes sounds that had never before been interconnected.
One of the characteristics that makes it very valuable is the length of its tracks, which do not adhere to the mainstream algorithms of contemporary electronics. Extensive and infinite, they allow the creation of a universe, both sonorous and visual, made possible by the former, that is vast.
This time it is the turn of Dancing Ivory, which immediately with the name mouth a beautiful image, abstract, but full of meanings. Because, after all, to imagine a dancing ivory is in principle something meaningless. Perhaps we have to resort to the appearance/essence deconstruction to reconstruct the appearance, and go after what hides that figure of speech. For now, we are left to enjoy the rest of the track. Wait for our full review…
