The desert label -as we like to call it since it is based in Iquique- presents its anniversary release. We are talking about Árido Records, who presents the Argentinean producer and artist based in Colombia, Parde Grilon, with Sudacas, an EP with seven original tracks and two remixes by the outstanding Argentinean producer Farceb and the renowned Colombian duo Sons Of Hidden.
Sudacas is the label’s first full-length release, the eighth physical release, and comes in celebration of five years of Árido Records. Club Furies came to the end of its first year, presenting a mega review of its Various Artists release titled ALMA. Since that time Árido Records has become one of our favorite labels, both for the curation of their sound, as well as the development of the visual art of their covers.
Now, we present Medallo. This word is a colloquial reference to the city of Medellin, Colombia, known for its vibrant urban music scene. In Parde Grilon’s sound, it is incipient, emergent and progressively piercing. However, this is felt in an almost velvety way, with subtle mediations and a lot of delicacy in the transitions.
