Our favorite cat; that electric Canadian-Spanish artist who has given us so much joy lately with his sonorous work, is back. And he returns to our beloved Diffuse Reality Records to present his sixth work on the Spanish label. ALASKA II is composed of three original tracks –how peacocks kiss, blue dunes and departure– and brings all the imprint of cat can do, a mix of analog electronic devices that let us feel its freshness, as well as the free performance that always takes us, when one knows how to do it as in this case, to the fabrication of new fictitious realities in art.

Blue dunes is subtle and delicate at the beginning. It is quickly fortified with metallic arms covered with fine strands of water and subtle fabrics that give it a unique and dual touch: hardness and plasticity. Progressively advancing through blue deserts that in their temporal coordinates are decoupled, resulting in futuristic and fictitious visual correlates full of adrenaline and energy.

The sound reaches impasses of silence that recode the previously poured coordinates. This time we are elevated to clear skies and dissipating clouds. And just like the expanse of the sky, so the sound is carried away, to us with it. With which the artist has managed to make us one with the sound, to make us part of his proposal and his concept.
