So fast comes the new release from the Colombian label Hall Works Recordings. This time they present smplrmn, alias of Ricardo Garduno, which presents a deeper and hypnotic version, full of labyrinths for the mind. This work features two wild tracks with a dark and enveloping atmosphere. It is hypnotism that is enhanced ad infinitum, leaving us with a dual sensation of hopelessness and utopia.
smplr00008 offers us a sonorous velvet of sound layers that are aligned with one another, giving the sensation of being one. As in cinema, when a film is shot in a single take, without cuts or edits. The creative genius of this artist achieves the same thing in the sound, with a spectacular and well-crafted sound design.
Between sound valleys, delicate and subtle savannahs rise up, from which fleetingly palpitate peaks and mountain ranges that strengthen and texturize the cut. Let yourself be carried away by this hypnotic and experimental labyrinth, while your mind tribulates placidly.
