The free interpretation that art, unlike other social fields, leaves to the audience can be limited if the artist makes available to us the forms and concepts that they have taken up to design their artistic work, in this case, sound. Such is the case of Ketapasando and Unstable Tone, whom we thank for the description of their art. We have nothing more to add.

Madrid-based producer Unstable Tone returns with OMG This is so fun!!!, an EP that encapsulates the essence of contemporary breakcore. Through four tracks –Proper Fool, Oh Oh Oh, I Sat in a chair and I stared and Impending Joy (You have no Idea)-, following the artist’s line, OMG This is so fun!!!! offers a sonic experience that combines rhythmic chaos and devilish melodies at high speeds.

Active since 2010, Unstable Tone is a leading figure in the Spanish breakcore scene. A member of the Ketapasando collective, in which he has even pressed his first track on vinyl, he has contributed to the expansion of the genre with releases on labels such as Annoying Beatz Crew, Sun Hole Records, and Hormonal Vibrationz.

His style is characterised by a fusion of breakcore with acid and spacey elements, using tools such as the Super Midi Pak, Nanoloop FM, and classic synthesizers to create energetic and dynamic compositions.

«I sat in a chair and just watched. It was a glorious spectacle of nothing: purposeless noise, epileptic lights. People kept moving to the rhythm of this frenzied, raucous beat. «OMG this is so much fun,» I thought, as the absurdist massaged my frontal lobe with dirty fingernails.»

«The joy was imminent, like an electric shock to a corpse. We were all smiling, happy to be caught in this tangle of grotesque rituals. A voice rose above the din and mumbled something meaningless. The rest cheered for such intelligible words. Then the body from which the voice came vomited confetti, and the congregation made it the non-functioning president.
