Registros Siderales is the new label and project of Alexa Strange, DJ, producer, and label founder, originally from Colombia, now based in Chile. RS001 brings together producers from different regions and backgrounds, all expressing their unique identity through mental, hypnotic, and organic techno. The EP intertwines powerful grooves, introspective textures, and cultural nuances.
RS001 is built from a blend of diverse cultural roots, using techno as a meeting point. Each track has its own identity, marked by the origin and sensibility of its author. Some of them focus on hypnotic grooves and hard-hitting rhythms; others explore more mental or industrial territories. The EP combines intense pulses with more introspective textures, tracing a path that crosses approaches without losing unity. Mental, hypnotic, and organic techno. A sonic convergence of diverse roots and deep rhythmic identities.
The first track on this debut release is from the boss, with Gajumaru, featuring steady, precise rhythms, involving a patient and very skilful sound design. A texture that advances and progresses, building up layers that form an uncoupled whole that is coupled in difference.
In the end, it reaches an ethereal effect, similar to that banyan tree, known for its aerial roots growing from the branches to the ground, called Gajumaru. Enveloping, continuous, and hypnotic atmospheres that leave us in the midst of well-polished sound labyrinths and a sense of completeness that wants more.
