Confused Machines was founded in Tel Aviv around 2015 by The Models, directed by Mule Driver since 2020. Focusing on the abstract and dysfunctional areas of electronic dance music, it presents the second volume of Max Schreiber‘s Variations on Memory.
Variations on Memory Vol. 2 delves into fragile ambient and abstract territories, weaving distorted fragments of lullabies and memorial songs into haunting soundscapes. It explores how memory reshapes, erodes, and obscures what we once held close.
Tears embodies that fact of the human body in the face of sadness in sound. With taciturn rhythms and layers of sound that frame that feeling, between backgrounds that cry out and different times that come together.
