Georgian label Orbital Oscillation presents the X Series, a new branch of their label, characterized by genre flexibility, openness, and borderlessness. Unlike its main direction, X is not about techno. It is a space for other sounds and new ideas. Orbital Oscillation kicks off with Erekle Getsadze and Nauru and their debut album, To Get The Flags Out.
Nauru and Erekle Getsadze are two Tbilisi-based artists whose collaboration came about spontaneously, without plans or limitations, driven purely by instinct and mutual energy. With backgrounds in club performance, composition, and sound design, they let themselves be guided by the music and came naturally to drum & bass, a genre to which they both connect deeply. Underneath the textures and rhythms runs a current of rebellion: a protest against control, repression, and silence.
Speechless is a fun sound canvas of Drum & Bass and Breakbeat flashes, pierced by nostalgic notes and decoupling beats. Between utopian futures and pasts that want to return, the sound soars through the air to prostrate itself in idyll. From this place, it stretches out over ethereal, but very green meadows, and freedoms that can be smelled close by. Ineffability resulting from a well-designed sound.
