Kevin Villa is a DJ and producer from Pereira, Colombia, co-founder of the MATTERIA collective and resident at TUNNEL. Influenced by artists such as Speedy J, DVS1, and Jeff Mills, he found his identity in Techno, exploring sounds from deep atmospheric textures to raw, industrial power. For one of his most recent releases, he comes to one of our favourite and most loved labels.

Club Furies Premiere: DJ Sodeyama – Nuit [Illegal Alien Records]

Illegal Alien Records presents Kevin Villa once again. This is his first EP on the label, following his appearance on the Deported Series: Twelve. It’s Echoes from the 9th Floor, a collection of six tracks that also includes a remix from the boss, Ricardo Garduno. Undoubtedly, a fantastic debut EP from the Colombian DJ and producer, where power, quality, sophistication and a lot of complexity and sonic versatility stand out in a spectacular release.

In audio and sound, linear means that the relationship between the input signal and the output signal is proportional, without introducing distortions or unwanted changes in the original waveform. In the case of this track, Linear, something similar happens, only with an apparent paradox: linear becomes non-linear. 

Through a continuous sound and sound tracks, which are sustained in time, we arrive at extreme, delirious sound deltas with very powerful climaxes. Plains and plains become winding mountain ranges, and calm dance floors cry out for lust, dance and sweat.
