Detekted Techno was founded as a Buenos Aires Techno event in 2017, supporting the underground techno scene. Since 2024 and currently, the concept has evolved to a record label called DTKTD Records.
Now, the Argentine label presents the fifth release in its catalog. It is entitled SPECIALTY CUTS, another Various Artists compilation with a variety of techno styles and new guests. Guests include Chané, DJP, Hiroshina, Pujalte, RVCKO, and Zaid Acib. You will also find familiar faces from our label, such as Alan Berbel, B3NZ, and RUMANU.
Two homegrown artists, Alan Berbel and B3NZ, present Tracción Sonora. Traction is the action and effect of pulling something to move or drag it; in the case of the title of this track, what is sought to mobilize is sound. But if sound in the strict sense is always mobilized, given that it moves in the air waves, what will be the quality of this traction?
Perhaps the answer is simpler than we think: what we are trying to mobilize, and we certainly succeed, is the dancer, who, with the sound of the track, sees his energy at rest boosted. With clean sound structures and an agile sound design, the sound runs in a fast-paced way, but always mediated by subtle sound layers that give it a rather striking coating.
