Rodrigo Bermejo, artistically known as Nuke, is a foundational figure in the techno scene of Madrid and Spain as a whole. His prominence is due not only to his musical skill but also to his role as the resident DJ and manager of CODE since 2003, one of the capital’s largest and most influential techno events.
Nuke’s career began in 1997. While studying Computer Engineering, his interest in electronic music was sparked, initially leading him to perform in small clubs and underground parties. His first major breakthrough came when he secured a residency alongside Pelacha at the «Surface» party at Groove club, which is when his alias became cemented.
Now, Nuke is present on Illegal Alien Records with a four-track release. Nuke is globally recognized as the mastermind behind the CODE parties, which began in 2003 at Fabrik Madrid, and he has also released on legendary record labels such as Hardgroove, Harthouse, Kombination Research, MB Elektronics, and Tronic. This is his debut on Illegal Alien Records, and we are proud to present his new work titled «Ava,» another exceptional release from the Spanish DJ and producer.
We now introduce «Ava,» the title track of his Illegal Alien Records release. It presents power in crescendo yet carries manifested potential from the very beginning. This means a paradox is at play, both at its start and throughout its development. How does one manifest the latent and the potent simultaneously? With a sound design that is both subtle and powerful. This implies strength and ferocity alongside delicacy and velvet in the sonic texture.
