Austrian producer Mike Inzinger presents his third release, «Eyes Wide Shut,» a nod to the iconic 1999 Stanley Kubrick film. This EP is a carefully curated vinyl collection of four original tracks: three minimal Detroit Techno cuts that pay homage to the style of Robert Hood, plus an Acid House bonus track. Essentially, this is classic, timeless techno.
Last week, we presented the premiere of the first track from this work, «Sinclair,» which showcased very interesting sonic paradoxes. Now, «Memories» establishes a smooth sonic canvas constructed from drum machines, synthesizers, and other clearly audible gear.
Subtle Acid drops sprinkle the track, amidst pasts that become present and futures that yearn to be those pasts. Following this synthesis of decoupled timelines, the sound achieves synthesis in unified time. The memories have been made present through very delicate, subtle, and refined sounds.
