Our favorite cat returns to one of his homes. We’re talking about cat can do, who presents his latest release on Diffuse Reality Records, a regular on the Spanish label. Currently based in Alicante, Spain, this cat from Canada has amazed us with his boldness in production and his clairvoyance in the use of analog gear, as well as his skill in improvised sound design.

This time, it’s «Mady guys,» a collection of ten original tracks, from which we present «Family Time.» It quickly builds its own strength and rhythms that demonstrate character. The voices appear to be those of his family during a gathering; likely from the past, though we hope it’s also from a current one. As the voices progress, the rhythm diminishes in intensity.

Deep and vast valleys of silence and reflection unfold amidst the intermittent sounds and sweeps of the producer and his family, ultimately reaching silence, total calm, and enviable patience. From there, it leads to a slow and progressive recovery towards indefinite time and the sonic infinite.
