We continue our sonic journey with Austrian producer Mike Inzinger, who presents his new release through his own label, MIR Records. This time, we delve into «Flatliners,» a piece that takes us back to the futuristic and utopian project of Detroit techno, where machines were viewed as the true path to human civilization and progress. The track focuses on the pure, simple essence of the genre, utilizing drum machines that almost seem to express a human soul, with a few extra additions. This sonic minimalism is perfect for evoking the atmosphere of unknown basements and overwhelming realities, where emotion is found in repetition and texture.

The magic of the piece lies in how the flat becomes texture and how the imaginary transforms into a project of future reality. In the original Detroit vision, machines combined sounds infinitely, promising societies open to uncertainty and contingency. The track subtly sinks into that reflective pessimism, always maintaining impeccable sonic fidelity—a quality that is truly necessary and often scarce in our contemporary underground scene.
