We are talking about «Solar Flare,» Van Der’s anticipated debut album on Subsist Records, a monumental collection of ten original tracks. The title, a direct reference to astronomical phenomena, aligns with the artist’s own interpretation of stellar space. This choice is not without a fascinating contradiction: while sound does not exist in space, which is a near-perfect vacuum, it is precisely our imagination about the sound the cosmos would make that defines us as humans and artists. This album fills that cosmic silence with beats.

The track «Moon Owler» is a powerful display of the album’s consistency. It submerges itself in atmospheric fog and sonic infinities that leave us unflinching, provoking psychic mutations that travel back and forth in the listener’s mind, all mediated by a continuous and firm sound design. The reference to the owl (Owler) is key: in the darkness of the night, the sound of techno establishes itself as the master of the forest and that time of day. «Moon Owler» is the soundtrack for the nocturnal guardian of the rave, a piece of hypnotic techno that guides you through the darkness with rhythmic authority.
