From the icy Nordic countries, Seremonia, the sublabel of EABE, presents its fourth release, injecting more darkness into the scene. This time, they feature fellow Finn Mikael Vilja, who self-describes his style as «Darker Side Techno from Finland.» The artist delivers a collection of four original tracks that function as a call to a preparatory ritual for a long winter. The EP offers four masterful works of top-quality Minimal Techno.
«Mighty Rite» is the monumental piece tasked with closing this release. With a portentous start full of anticipation, the track quickly stabilizes with an attractive and deeply hypnotic center of gravity. It constantly and subtly beckons the listener, immersed in sounds that are simultaneously mysterious and enveloping.
The sound design feels like renewable energy in constant motion, operating amidst dark halos and frightening lights. The sonic narrative travels through valleys of apocalypse that turn into crackling mountains, only to finally electrify the entire soundscape infinitely. «Mighty Rite» is not just a closer, but a climax that encapsulates the coldness and power of Finnish darkness, leaving the listener in a state of rhythmic trance.
