We previously encountered Alessandro Meazzini under the alias Subzero during his spectacular release on Subsist Records. Born in Brazil in 1997, he was adopted by Italian parents that same year and moved to Italy. His approach to electronic music began at age 13, experimenting and improvising with disc jocking and arrangements using objects found around his house.
Now, the Italian-Brazilian artist presents his new and audacious self-release work as Kassidy Human Waste, That Cold Body. This is a collection of ten original tracks, including one rework. Simply put: it is spectacular. For now, we present the first of two premieres we have for this release. We will soon publish our full review, and to close out the year, an exclusive interview we conducted with the Italian-Brazilian artist.
The featured track erupts from mystery and expectation, from death and the «other side,» from silence and nothingness. Sonic latencies unfold, leading into pendular percussive rivers, oscillating between existence and absence. All of this transpires amidst apocalyptic atmospheres that roar with dehumanization, featuring expansive, precise timings achieved through sound design that verges on perfection.

Temporal and spatial loops progressively orbit, summoning an alternative reality. The track poses an existential duality: Is it the utopia promised not only by pioneering electronics but by modern society? Or, more likely, is it the vanishing of that utopia into the dystopia that reality has unmasked? Kassidy delivers a raw and contemplative journey through the modern void.
