Dope Tones Records presents the Midva Trio, composed of French artists from Strasbourg: Midva, Natsu, and Joël Brown. The story is as organic as their sound: «In April 2025, drummer and hip-hop dancer Joël Brown invited Natsu (DJ/bass player) and Midva (producer, also known as Emile Londonien) for a summer studio hang. It was two days in July, three friends in a tiny home studio, and hours of wild acoustic jams. Everything was recorded fast, raw, and instinctively, later colored with a few extra percussions and synths captured in the same small room.»
The result is a powerful release featuring two original tracks —«Strass City Bruk» and «Deep Jam»— which also come with three impressive remixes by Tom Manzarek, Dope Tones Ensemble, and Divorce From New York.
The sound of «Deep Jam» is a «deep-house improvisation shaped by Joël’s dancer roots and his unique feel for groove. Midva holds the harmony with warm, soulful chords and sound design layers, while Natsu brings a precise, efficient bass energy. It is the kind of track that appears when you press record and let the moment lead.»
