The Mexican label ANAØH presents its annual compilation «Hate & Tenderness,» once again in its traditional cassette format—in addition to digital, obviously. In its eighth edition, the volume gathers a carefully curated selection of artists who embody ANAØH’s current identity: emerging figures gaining visibility in the international scene, alongside established artists whose careers have been forged through consistency, integrity, and a solid artistic vision.
This edition holds special significance for the label. Each contribution reflects the duality that has defined the series since its inception: intensity and subtlety, contrasted yet complementary. For this reason, it remains one of the most anticipated releases each year, continuing to inspire us with the same emotion as the first volume.
With this release, we close ANAØH’s ninth year and begin the celebrations of our tenth anniversary. Club Furies is proud to participate in this event with the premiere of one of the integrated tracks. The chosen piece is «Depósito» (Warehouse) by Damian Vargas, an electronic musician, sound designer, and performer from Mexico City.
«Depósito,» which translates to «Warehouse,» is precisely what the track calls out to in the distance, as it progresses from subtle beginnings towards a more agile and accelerated sound. Once positioned in such cavernous environments, delirium and collision present themselves as the two sides of a coin, acting as mediating forces in the body of the dancer. It is a raw and direct techno piece that pays homage to the brutal atmosphere of the warehouse scene.
