For the latest catalog release, they present Argentinian producer Juan Castillo, a renowned DJ from Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, who debuts on Holobeat with a powerful four-track EP. Collectively, the tracks capture the essence of his dynamic and versatile sound, designed to fit perfectly into any moment of a DJ set. The release is completed with five distinctive remixes by Guadalupe González, Lil, Gabi Navarro, Stier, and Lorenzo Mauro, each of whom brings their own sonic identity while broadening the original vision of the EP.
The original track «Roxbury» features mysterious, threatening undertones, building grooves in crescendo amidst chimes that foreshadow a dark dance. As the delirium approaches its climax, the sound design intervenes to create an atmosphere of anticipation, reticence, and retrospect. Wails from beyond the grave serve as triggers for the final synthesis, just before the groove is forcefully reinstated. This is one of our favorite tracks from a release that has captivated us entirely, both for the original tracks and the diversity and quality of the remixes.
