One of our favorite Latin American labels at the moment returns with the release that closes out its year, and it does so with a proposal that demands attention. We’re talking about 電光Denkō Recordings, a label that this time shines a light on NØRDBASS, a project that continues to gain momentum within the regional scene. With this release, Denkō reinforces its commitment to intense, conceptual sounds with a strong sense of identity, ending the year on a confident and well-defined note.
Behind NØRDBASS is Bastian Vidal, a Chilean producer from Santiago who describes his sound as hypnotic and is driven by a clear belief: freedom is not something to be debated, it is something to be exercised. That philosophy is directly reflected in his music, where repetition, tension, and depth are used to build mental states rather than just functional club tracks. It’s an honest vision, stripped of unnecessary decoration, that connects instantly with the listener.
The EP is titled No Soul Society and features three original tracks. It’s a carefully crafted release where deep atmospheres coexist with a well-measured percussive aggression, a defining trait of the producer’s sound.
