We return to one of our favorite labels, one that operates within a very specific realm of techno — the kind that only a handful of labels and artists truly know how to approach with depth. KVLTÖ Records is one of them. From its very name, the label makes its sonic philosophy clear: far removed from mainstream trends and much closer to an uncompromising exploration of sound itself. To close out another strong year, KVLTÖ presents Italian producer Guliver, currently based in Germany.
Driven by a genuine passion for depth and experimentation, Guliver creates atmospheric soundscapes in constant evolution, exploring the darker corners of electronic music. With Sicilian roots and a base in Berlin, his sets and productions blend experimental electronics with dark ambient elements, resulting in experiences that are intense, hypnotic, and deeply immersive. His cinematic approach pulls the listener into a world of dense textures and shadowed rhythms that unfold patiently and with purpose.
Rooted in Sicily and shaped by years of experience across Europe — from London’s after-hours scene to Berlin’s underground — Guliver continues to refine a sound that connects emotion, intensity, and creative risk. Each stage of his journey has left a clear mark on his musical language and on the way he understands sonic space.
On KVLTÖ Records, this new chapter in Guliver’s path seeks to establish a deeper connection between rhythm, movement, and auditory perception. Under the title My Name Is Nobody, he delivers an EP that weaves together diverse and contrasting atmospheres, all crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The release is further expanded by remixes from Stallo, Martyn Päsch, and Red Noise, offering alternative perspectives and a renewed sonic awareness of the original material.
Caves, lakes, rivers, and forests — a series of hostile landscapes emerging from frozen tundras. In these imagined spaces, sound must remain clean and precise, with well-defined structures that cut through the cold air with equal sharpness. The Troy sound evokes vast, unforgiving environments where every frequency serves a clear purpose and nothing feels accidental.
Troy’s sound also carries the semantics of its own mythology: ancient wars, distant times, immortal warriors. There is a constant duality between the natural and the mythical, the physical and the symbolic. This tension translates into a sound design that perfectly synthesizes its many layers while fully embracing the concept at its core. In the end, we find ourselves immersed in a sonic structure that is cold yet strangely warm — clean, bright, resilient, and perfectly equipped to stand its ground against the ice.
