“The brighter the light, the darker the shadow.” This premise defines the ethos of Forbidden Teachings, the Brussels-based Belgian label that serves as the meeting point for Club Furies’ debut. To close out 2025, the imprint introduced Italian artist Nigh/T\mare with the release of his first full-length album on the label.
Nigh/T\mare is the project of Italian artist and producer Giuseppe Sciretti, conceived as a space where dark aesthetics, dense atmospheres and driving techno rhythms converge. His sound is direct and contemporary, yet deeply emotional: each composition is shaped by personal experiences, functioning as a form of catharsis through pain, anxiety, stress and other inner tensions.
Made up of ten carefully crafted tracks, Through encapsulates the artist’s sonic language in a journey that resonates physically while awakening what often remains dormant. Moving between despair and hope, love and loss, the album unfolds as a passage through impermanence itself, revealing the fragile veil that both sustains and defines us. Is true liberation of the soul possible, or are we inevitably shaped by shifting forces? Through does not answer—it reflects.
The final track on the vinyl, included in the digital edition, is titled Resilience. Its sound is fiercer, more driving and more urgent, yet it retains an impressive sense of maturity and patience. Amid the heightened intensity, a surprising calm emerges—a duality that only appears paradoxical. This is achieved through a complex and meticulous sound design, capable of arranging multiple layers into a coherent whole where difference becomes unity.
Once the climax and the delta are reached, the sound drifts into idyllic, dreamlike states, taking on an ethereal quality amid rough, dark and cinematic percussion and atmospheres. In doing so, the track carries us once again through extended temporalities, this time inevitably anchored in utopia. Resilience reveals an imposing, unyielding and irreducible character, standing as a testament both to the singular talent of the Italian artist and to Forbidden Teachings as a label with an equally distinctive curatorial vision.
