For its latest release, veteran Japanese DJ DJ Sodeyama joins the roster with DAGDA, the label’s 26th reference. The EP stands as a concise yet forceful statement, designed for dark, pressure-filled spaces. Known for balancing physical impact with meticulous control, Sodeyama distills his language to its essentials: dense low-end weight, compressed atmospheres, and a restless rhythmic motion that never loses focus.
Throughout the EP, electricity hums beneath the surface. Rolling momentum, elastic high frequencies, and percussive details—scattered like coded signals—lock into muscular structures that strike hard without excess. Rising synth tension and crisp basslines drive the climactic moments, while more hallucinatory passages lean into distant vocal fragments and modulated tones, drawing the energy inward without surrendering control.
