Madrid-born Isgang —the artistic alias of Ignacio Cuéllar Abascal— has spent years carving out his own corner of the techno and hypnotic techno world, and his latest release is one we simply couldn’t stay quiet about. The Spanish producer presents Sistema de Pérdida, a seven-track original EP on Dynamic Form, one of those labels that consistently impresses us with its curatorial instinct.
What sets Isgang apart isn’t just technical skill —it’s attitude. His sound is rooted in an uncommon blend of creativity, feeling, and a genuine obsession with hard, powerful, and deep rhythms. He doesn’t follow formulas; he breaks them. Each production weaves together software and analog tools in a tension he handles with effortless control, building atmospheres where techno isn’t just heard —it’s felt. In your chest. In your feet. Somewhere you can’t quite name but can’t ignore.
In 2022, Isgang stepped beyond the booth and into the industry by co-founding Loopaina Records, a label where he continues to work as a producer. But his creative momentum didn’t stop there: in early 2023, he launched his own imprint, Ethnic Meeting Label —a space where nature, creativity, and deep atmospheric sound design take center stage. Two labels, two visions, one evolving sonic identity.
Among the EP’s standout moments, «Abandono» is the track that has stayed with us the longest. It’s a sharp, relentless sonic texture that drills into the mind just as forcefully as it drives the dance floor. Its layers are compact, almost architectural —and while the structure feels solid, like labyrinths carved from solid stone, there’s a strange fluidity running through it that pulls you in before you realize what’s happening. Abandonment becomes something physical here: you feel it in every hit, in every calculated silence. Easily one of our favorites from this release.
