Pleasant Systems has been one of our starred favorites for years now —and not by accident. Their ability to maintain a coherent sonic identity without ever repeating themselves is something very few labels manage to sustain over time. Now they return with Pleasant Panorama, an 8-track compilation that brings together both familiar names from the label’s roster and new voices arriving to expand its universe. A celebration of the catalog, yes —but also a clear look forward.

The Pleasant Systems sound has never been easy to categorize, and that’s precisely what makes it so valuable. Pleasant Panorama is a faithful reflection of that philosophy: warm, rhythmic house that moves effortlessly between minimalist proto-house, Balearic and Mediterranean atmospheres, and moments that shift between the deep and sun-drenched and the more direct energy of the night. This isn’t music that pushes —it’s music that invites, that seduces, that guides you through different states of day and night so naturally you barely notice the shift.

At Club Furies, we’ve followed Pleasant Systems for a long time precisely because the label embodies something we care deeply about: the idea that house music can be simultaneously intellectual and physical, sophisticated and accessible, perfect for a quiet afternoon at home or a long night you don’t want to end. Pleasant Panorama reaffirms all of that with a selection that sounds curated with genuine love for the genre. If you’re new to the label, this compilation is the perfect entry point. If you were already a fan —you already know exactly what we mean.

Among the moments that have stayed with us most from this release is the contribution from German producer Phillip Kluge, who presents his mix of T’aint’s «No Big Thing» —a lush, sensual track that settles right into that precise instant when the sky turns orange and pink, when the sun hasn’t quite disappeared but the night is already beginning to show itself.

Its brooding rhythmic notes are in no rush, and they don’t need to be: they approach the climax with calculated delicacy, aching for more in a way that’s subtle and precise, and what follows isn’t a drop but a spectacular transition —fresher rhythms, more electric, as if the sunset simply decided not to end and instead mutated into something new. It’s exactly the kind of track that makes this label so special.
