Noise Daughters is an underground techno label founded by GAEL and Skungal, artists originally from Ukraine who are currently based in Berlin. The project was created with a clear intention: to highlight and connect different expressions of contemporary techno, embracing a versatile approach that brings together producers from various geographical and artistic backgrounds across the global scene. In this sense, the label also functions as a meeting point where multiple interpretations of the techno language converge.
Its first release, “Noise Daughters Vol. 1”, arrives as a compilation of eight original tracks featuring artists from Ukraine, England, South Korea, and Germany, offering a diverse sonic map of today’s techno landscape. The producers involved have previously released on highly respected underground labels.
The compilation explores different shades of contemporary techno, ranging from raw and hypnotic approaches to more mechanical, broken, and industrial territories. The tracks are driven by grooves designed for the dancefloor, while incorporating rough textures, dystopian atmospheres, and elements powered by modular synthesizers that expand their sonic dimension. A true balance between rhythmic functionality and sonic experimentation.
Among the featured artists is Carara, one of our favorite producers at the moment, contributing the track “Oblivion.” From Germany, the artist delivers a piece that explores precisely what its title suggests: the gradual dissolution of memory, a movement toward sonic territories where recollections begin to blur and reorganize within a deeply hypnotic architecture.
The track unfolds through persistent rhythmic layers and pulsating sequences that keep the tension constantly evolving. Within this structure, small beeping tones fall like cascading particles, resembling tiny purple diamonds drifting through space. Through this interplay of repetition and variation, the composition builds a structure where apparent disorder gradually stabilizes, creating a sense of motion that extends ad infinitum.
In “Oblivion,” energy is not released abruptly; instead, it is carefully distributed, allowing each sonic element to settle into its place within the overall texture. The result becomes an exercise in rhythmic hypnosis and atmospheric precision, where chaos organizes itself into increasingly refined patterns. A track that once again confirms Carara’s ability to craft immersive techno structures capable of sustaining both introspection and dancefloor intensity.
