Fossilized is the new work of Darkduction, the Colombian artist head of Granular Spectrum. This album delves into the darkest and most minimalist landscapes of experimental techno, taking us into a sonic universe in which depth and abstraction play a fundamental role. Each track is a sonic fragment, a time capsule that invites a multisensory experience, where styles and rhythms fluctuate like a roller coaster that descends to the deepest spectrum of the genre, to rise again in an unexpected progression.
Buro is the third track on this album and emulates a bubble of water and ice that flies over the earth’s orbit. In the midst of starry darkness and infinite space, the track floats and remains frozen by a spectacular sound design.
This stems from the album’s ability to fuse dense atmospheres with precise and enveloping rhythmic structures. Throughout the journey, hypnotic drones, intriguing percussive patterns, and evolving modulations unfold, building an ever-changing sonic ecosystem. At certain moments, the music climaxes with a raw interplay of abrasive percussion and synthesizers, while at others, it strips away the rhythm to dive into ethereal textures and fractured pulses that seem to dissolve into thin air.
