One of our favourite artists is featured on one of our labels, the result of which can only be spectacular. We’re talking about Hakkon, hailing from La Rioja (Spain), who is featured on the desert label, Arido Records – in Spanish «árido» word is with accent. Together, they curate and release Origin, a collection of three original tracks complemented by remixes by DAS and Malgré Tout.
In the context of the literary genre called «Omegaverse», alpha, beta, and omega are categories that describe a hierarchical structure and secondary biological roles in interpersonal relationships, especially in the realm of romantic and sexual relationships. Alphas are dominant, betas are most common, and omegas are submissive. They are also the original three tracks of this work.
A hierarchical system always has its positions; those at the top, those at the bottom and those in the middle, who for certain reasons that we will not deal with here are somehow the most privileged of these three positions; so the fact of being the most common does not refer to the medieval semantics normally attributed to the common.
With an intense rhythm, which is built up and coupled layer after layer, it reaches that intensity which in a certain way characterises the Spanish producer. This time, coupled with the style of the desert label, with flashes and flashes of Sci-Fi Techno, very subtle, surrounded by dense sound layers. This time, spaceships collide and intertwine dying volcanoes, decaying rocks, and stars on the verge of implosion.
