Techno DJ and producer Dani Durán‘s project is going from strength to strength. Owner of Nested Label, a platform for his own productions and a home for artists with a shared vision of deep, hypnotic techno, he goes all out. Dani Durán has been active since the early 2000s. His sound is characterised by powerful grooves and hypnotic textures, and now he will be curating his own label.
Voltage is the second release from Nested Label, led by Wisna. It’s an EP that dives into raw techno, marked by deep pads, gritty textures and a steady, punchy groove. A release with an old-school spirit and a straightforward energy that keeps the tension going from start to finish. A statement that continues to shape the label’s sonic identity.
Simple South sound is clean, oxygenating spirals of sound that are enhanced and refreshed as the sound progresses. With textures that recognise the different types of energy on the dancefloor and in the dancer, it knows how to modulate them to bring out their full potential at the right moment. From a taciturn beginning, it progressively picks up speed to synthesise itself in parallel sound tracks that play with this duality of speed.
