To counter the political and social situation in Georgia, a fundraising campaign is taking place, between the international collective Klangangriff, based in Switzerland and Georgia, and our dear re:flect recordings, supported by various artists, aims to aid local cultural and community spaces. It also supports NGOs promoting independent media, queer visibility, and minority rights within Georgia. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the selected projects, mirroring a successful previous initiative.
This is a Various Artists compilation that unfolds in three immense volumes, with high-quality tracks. After presenting two premieres for the first one, we now bring you the premiere of a track for the second volume. It’s Georgia artist STAOX, who presents Lunatic.
Lunatic is a person who suffers from insanity, not continuously, but at intervals, the word deriving from lunaticus, meaning «of the moon» or «affected by the moon». This way of being of certain people is very well inserted in the sound of the track, which is rough, intermittent, and very solid.
With peaks that resemble the intense states of this quality, the sound manages to stabilise in them with a superb quality. A great track that shows us that this state of being is ambivalent, dual, and paradoxical.
