The third release from Austrian producer Mike Inzinger is here, presenting «Eyes Wide Shut,» a clear reference to the film directed by Stanley Kubrick and released in 1999. This is a collection of four original tracks on vinyl edition, casting three Detroit Techno tracks in the Robert Hood minimalist style, plus an Acid House bonus track. This is classic, timeless techno.
«Sinclair» opens with strong beeps and bubbling textures in full effervescence, progressively reaching an unstable equilibrium. The beeps and effervescence remain the sonic core of the track, yet they are balanced in their instability. This creates highly interesting sonic paradoxes that progressively lead us to mediated delirium—mediated by stable, dynamic, and expertly executed sound design.
From the paradoxical peaks of intensity we reach, we seamlessly transition into an imperceptible trance, guided by the rest of the sound without us noticing. This is made possible by the track’s duration and the way it subtly leads us along. Disregarding fashionable sonic mainstreams, «Sinclair» is the perfect start.
