A few days ago, we premiered the first of two tracks from the new release by the Argentinian label Audio Alert. This is their eighth catalog release, maintaining the label’s imprint: focused on the true spirit of techno based on rhythmic and sonic constructions. Its conceptual correlate explores urban behaviors, science fiction explorations, and art that is half human, half technology.
Based in Buenos Aires and curated by Kid Riot, a DJ and producer from the first wave of the Argentinian techno scene, this release is the «Warriors» EP, featuring two original tracks from the mysterious project Citizen Noise. These original tracks are characterized by their strong rhythmic emphasis and winding acid patterns, completed by the remix from label boss, Kid Riot.
While the original «Warriors» track is mysterious and reticent, projecting past and future times amidst a troubling present, the Kid Riot remix speeds up the rhythm and sound with a powerful and electrifying rhythmic core. However, his approach remains progressive, knowing exactly when to intensify and how much to reveal.
Even though the rhythm is more agile than the original, the rework encloses itself in highly suggestive sinister, underground cloisters, where it manages to sustain itself extensively. This results in considerable psychic impact, filled with sonic labyrinths and very interesting hypnotic delusions. Ultimately, glimpses of music from another time imprint the perfect final touch, transforming the track into an accelerated and forceful journey through the dystopian psyche.
