Club Furies

We introduce Freres Recordings, an underground label based in Bogotá, Colombia, devoted to raw, deep, and hypnotic techno. More than just a record label, Freres operates as a sonic platform for exploring dark textures, mental rhythms, and introspective soundscapes drawn from the depths of the electronic underground. One of its most recent releases is the label’s second Various Artists compilation, featuring ten original tracks by ten different artists, each contributing a distinct voice to a shared aesthetic.

Among these contributions is M5R, a Colombian DJ originally from Bogotá’s club scene and currently based in Barcelona, Spain. His journey into music began from the dancefloor itself, as a clubber, an experience that naturally shaped his attraction to hypnotic sounds, strong grooves, and powerful sonic forms. He began his artistic path as a co-founder of the Colombian collective FRERES COL, performing in various clubs and raves across the local scene.

For this compilation, M5R presents Endless Phase, a track that sustains its intensity from start to finish while radiating an unexpectedly warm and comforting energy. Although the rhythm, layers, and sonic pressure remain sharp throughout, one of the track’s most striking qualities lies in how its structure is woven—firm, immersive, and meticulously balanced.

By the end, the title fully reveals its meaning. Endless Phase feels like a loop playing ad infinitum, surrounded by a tense electrical charge that shakes the dancefloor and fractures even the most resilient minds. Everything unfolds within an unbreakable club and dance environment, where time dissolves, and movement becomes unavoidable.
