Club Furies

“My sorrow is light!” This is how OMERTA introduces itself, the Russian label with which we debut on Club Furies. For its latest release, it presents Italian producer Rōnin, who describes his sound as Terror Body Music—a realm where darkness, dystopia, and cinematic violence collide. His project moves across post-punk, EBM, industrial, and techno, shaping a raw and narrative-driven sonic identity. He also operates under the psytrance alias Septem Daemonia and is one half of the live act YUUGEN, alongside Daishō, further expanding his creative spectrum.

On OMERTA, he unveils his new album Slaughterhouse Terror, described as “an audiovisual nightmare trapped within a grid of analog synthesis.” It is not merely a collection of tracks but a condensed horror-action film in sonic form, where each piece operates like a scene in a blood-soaked B-movie thriller. The album blurs the boundaries between dance floor and crime scene, turning the club into a site of sensory confrontation. Within this framework, the code of silence suggested by “OMERTA” becomes a frozen scream embedded in synthesizer noise, chilling and relentless.

In a full-length record, structural integrity matters: the presence of an intro to set the tone and, even more importantly, an outro to close the narrative arc. An outro serves as the final gesture—resolution, fade-out, or emotional release—demonstrating that the album has been conceived as a cohesive whole rather than a random sequence of tracks. This structural awareness reinforces the sense of a unified conceptual work.

The Pain Inside stands as that precise closing statement. The energy, terror, and mystery that unfolded throughout the album gradually dissipate into near silence, as if the climax has already passed and only its aftermath remains. The rhythm softens, turning nostalgic and melodramatic while maintaining a subtle connection to what preceded it. The pain once externalized and explosive becomes internalized, shifting into a quieter, more introspective resonance—an evolution into another stage of sonic existence.
