We return to the magnificent Canadian label iturnem, led by Misstress Barbara. Not long ago, we had the pleasure of debuting there with a Premiere of a track from a release by the boss herself. Today, we are excited to return to that catalogue and continue casting its music through our platform.
This time, the spotlight is on Spanish producer Óscar Escapa, who presents Reborn. Óscar began developing as a producer in 2012, largely through self-teaching. Over the years—thanks to his work ethic, dedication, humility, and an immense passion for what he does—he has managed to reach many of the most important record labels in the techno scene. The Spanish producer has built a solid reputation through persistence and a refined, direct, and powerful sound.
For his debut on iturnem, he delivers a three-track EP of driving techno, built on solid grooves, raw textures, and precisely designed energy, crafted for peak moments and deeply immersive dancefloor experiences.
Dissonance can be understood as an unpleasant sound or a lack of musical consonance. It can also refer to the absence of conformity, proportion, or harmony between two or more things, people, or ideas. In the track Dissonance, the concept takes sonic form: the opening is powerful, with a fine, subtly orthogonal groove that establishes a strong foundation from the very beginning.
The progression gradually intensifies as layers of sound emerge delicately, quickly settling into intergalactic atmospheres.
Once these deltas and climates are reached, the track embeds itself in sonic valleys that seem to transport us to fantastical purple moons, from where it takes flight again and reaches its peak in spectacular fashion. From there, all that remains is to feel the pulse and let the rhythm pierce both our psyche and our body.
