One of our favorite labels, Tlaloc Records, stands out for an identity deeply rooted in a Mexican concept that reflects its Indigenous origins. The imprint has developed a distinctive aesthetic within contemporary techno, where dark and experimental elements intertwine with an almost ritualistic dimension of sound. Its vision reaches beyond simple dancefloor functionality, aiming instead to create a connection between mind and spirit, between introspection and the symbolic forces that move through electronic music.
The head of the label, Mogo, returns home after a year. He does so with his latest release on Tlaloc Records, titled Dopamine Ecstasy, a two-tracker composed of two original pieces: the title track Dopamine Ecstasy and An Infinite World Of Errors. From their very titles, both tracks suggest intriguing layers of meaning, hinting at altered states of perception, psychological landscapes, and the complexity of internal processes that shape human experience.
An Infinite World Of Errors unfolds through a sequence of dislocated sounds that orbit between sonic experimentation and a kind of organic-robotic introspection. The track is built through iterations and recursive structures that seem to test the boundaries of rhythm and texture. Each element appears to probe its own possibilities within the sonic framework, creating a shifting environment where subtle tensions gradually accumulate.
At its core, the piece becomes an exploration of unpredictability: a chain of seemingly arbitrary experiments that, through repetition, generate unexpected meaning. Within that process, the possibility of error inevitably appears —yet in this sonic universe, error may not be a failure at all, but a gateway to new sonic configurations. After all, does such a thing as a sonic mistake truly exist, or are these simply new ways of listening waiting to be discovered?
