The Italian label TC Records, based in Varese, returns with a new release, continuing a series that has quickly captured the attention of attentive ears within the underground circuit. This time it presents the second volume of Escape Route, a compilation that gathers eleven original tracks, each built from different perspectives yet connected by a shared sensibility: the exploration of hypnotic textures, persistent grooves, and atmospheres that expand the perception of contemporary techno.

Following the debut of the first volume in October, this second installment arrives with renewed energy. While the first release already set a high standard, Escape Route Vol. 2 broadens that horizon with a selection that feels even more vibrant, dynamic, and refined. The result is a compilation that works not only as a showcase of diverse talents but also as a sonic map of today’s techno landscape: rhythms oscillating between introspection and physical propulsion, layered soundscapes unfolding gradually, and structures designed to sustain tension over extended dancefloor journeys.

Among the artists featured in the compilation is Byron Alvarado, a Costa Rican DJ and producer whose trajectory has steadily consolidated within the Latin American circuit. Beyond his work as an artist, Alvarado is also a professor at the DJ academy DJLab, an active promoter behind the TMPL project, and one of the most notable representatives of groovy and hypnotic techno in Costa Rica, helping to strengthen a local scene that continues to gain international resonance.

His contribution to the compilation is titled Tripas, a track that from its opening moments proposes a deeply physical sonic experience. The sound unfolds in an intense and gradually rising progression, with carefully controlled modulation that feels almost surgically precise. Rhythmic layers organize themselves patiently, allowing each element to settle into a sonic architecture that moves steadily toward highly rhythmic peaks.

In Tripas, the groove operates like a progressive mechanism: a set of sonic gears activating one after another until reaching a vibrant stability at its highest moments. Percussive elements intertwine with firm basslines and immersive textures that reinforce the sense of continuous motion. As the track progresses, tension is not immediately released; instead, it is carefully administered, generating a controlled expansion that keeps the dancefloor in a state of constant anticipation.

The result becomes an exercise in rhythmic hypnosis, where each element serves a precise role within the overall structure of the track. Nothing feels excessive or scattered; everything moves toward building a continuous flow oscillating between the physical energy of the dancefloor and a more introspective dimension. Within that balance lies much of the track’s strength, confirming Byron Alvarado’s ability to design solid, immersive techno structures that remain deeply functional for the dancefloor.
