CF Premiere: FCKDSKO – Spinner [BlackSine]

FCKDSKO, resident of the Nocturnal collective, develops a musical proposal that moves beyond strict genre boundaries. His sound navigates territories where dance music becomes distorted, saturated with reverberation, and wrapped in dark atmospheric textures, creating dense and immersive sonic landscapes. At the same time, his artistic approach remains fluid: as a devoted listener of psychedelic music in its many forms, his sonic palette can shift instantly, moving between different tonalities and moods with ease.

This versatility emerges from a constellation of influences that includes techno, ambient, acid, breaks, and minimalist classical music. Within his productions, these elements do not appear as isolated references but rather as materials woven together into structures that emphasize atmosphere, hypnotic repetition, and spatial manipulation of sound.

BlackSine is a non-profit magazine and record label run by artists, dedicated to promoting and supporting alternative electronic music. Beyond its editorial work, the project has established itself as a platform committed to the development of the scene: publishing in-depth articles about artists, venues, history, the industry, and the complexities of the genre, while also operating a label that supports emerging producers seeking to expand their careers.

In this sense, BlackSine embraces a collaborative model rarely seen within the music industry, providing resources, visibility, and guidance that many commercial labels would hesitate to offer. Their mission extends beyond releasing music — it aims to strengthen a creative community that explores the outer edges and possibilities of contemporary electronic sound.

For its latest release, the label presents Jet Spinner, a two-tracker in which each piece explores a different dimension of FCKDSKO’s sonic universe. The track “Jet” stands as the most powerful of the two, driven by a tempo of 136 BPM that delivers direct and expansive energy. The title references a cascading buzzing tone present throughout the piece, reminiscent of a jet aircraft breaking the sound barrier.

This sonic shockwave unfolds alongside an arctic pad that gradually rises, building intensity until the EP’s signature arpeggio finally emerges. It moves fluidly beneath the atmospheric layers, weaving and slipping through the sonic field while maintaining a delicate balance between ambient depth and rhythmic propulsion. The result is an intense and deeply psychedelic listening experience, capable of standing on its own or blending seamlessly with more rhythmically driven tracks within a DJ set.

Meanwhile, “Spinner” takes a different direction. It leans toward a more atmospheric and groovy approach, built upon a repetitive bassline that bends and distorts as it progresses, forming the foundation for a hypnotic arpeggio that dips beneath a warm choral pad. Its structure makes it a versatile tool for DJs, particularly in mid-tempo transitions, where its immersive atmosphere can bridge different moments within a set.
