We are especially excited to be part of the new release from one of our favorite artists of the moment. Now based in New York, Vexillary unveils Digital Suspiria, a work that represents a new mutation within a project defined by constant evolution. In the artist’s own words, this is their boldest and most accomplished album to date. Here, technoid energy collides with occult currents and cybernetic shimmer, shaping a sonic world where sterile, polished surfaces conceal something darker beneath.
This fourth album shifts away from explicit storytelling in favor of near-surgical sonic precision. Rather than elaborate narrative arcs, the record is built from carefully sculpted compositions, each element operating within a tightly controlled internal logic. The production takes on a ritualistic quality, while vocals flicker like transmissions emerging from inside the machine. Even as melody and structure are pushed forward, the conceptual core of Vexillary remains intact: spiritual recursion, emotional circuitry, and a form of machine devotion pulsing beneath the surface.
The title track, Digital Suspiria, is particularly compelling on a semantic level. It evokes a sigh from alternate realities, where zeros and ones define the very condition of existence for any interface. Suspended between the human and the mechanical, the voice within the track seems to call out for new realities, as present moments rapidly dissolve into the past. The sound moves with restless intensity—fast, driving, yet precisely modulated—creating a constant tension between propulsion and control.
Taken as a whole, Digital Suspiria builds a bridge between the raw and the programmed, tracing a line from the artist’s EBM roots toward something more refined, strange, and emotionally volatile. This is more than an album—it unfolds as a digital ritual, encoded in tension and released through sound. A spell cast in binary form, resonating just beyond the threshold of perception, expanding the boundaries of listening itself. This is not simply music—it is an experience that lingers, infiltrates, and transforms. Full review coming soon.
