Registros Siderales is the new label platform from Colombian-Chilean producer and DJ Alexa Strange—a space where mental, hypnotic, and organic techno converge into a shared sonic language rooted in diverse origins and deep rhythmic identities. Launched in mid-2025 with a Various Artists compilation that operated as a manifesto, the project now returns with a second VA release that continues—and sharpens—that same statement. More than a continuation, this new chapter reinforces the label’s core intention: to build a cohesive narrative through contrast, tension, and resonance across different artistic voices.

It is framed as follows: “Timelessness and the convergence of diverse identities under a common language.” From the sonic architecture of Jamie Bissmire and the hypnotic futurism of Ma Haiping, to the physical solidity of Dani Durán and the introspective narrative of Alexa Strange, this release traces a continuous line between historical legacy and emerging vanguard. Mental, hypnotic, and organic; the EP is built on the tension between the physical and the introspective, between solid structures and ever-evolving textures. Each track inhabits its own universe, yet all converge along a shared axis: a sonic narrative that connects identities through rhythm. The compilation doesn’t just present tracks—it articulates a curatorial vision where difference becomes continuity.

Not every project needs explanation. Ma Haiping’s is one of those where sound speaks with clarity: techno as architecture, as sustained tension, as trajectory. From China to the world, he has built an identity that rejects ornament and concession. His approach is a precise reading of the Detroit lineage—rhythm, repetition, function—infused with a sci-fi imagination that expands the horizon without severing the root. There is something deeply hypnotic in his work: breathing patterns, slowly shifting textures, energy that doesn’t explode but accumulates over time. It is a controlled intensity, unfolding with purpose.

Labels across the UK, France, and the United States have served as platforms, but the center remains unchanged: sound as principle. There’s a logic to it—his music works because it is designed to work, but also because it proposes something beyond functionality. In performance, his trajectory maps another geography: United States, Mexico, Japan, Australia. Different contexts, same intent. The dancefloor as a site where repetition meets trance. Ma Haiping is not reinterpreting techno—he operates within it, stretching its limits from the inside. No artifice. No shortcuts. Just sound in motion.

“Blaze” hits like a techno screw—tight, forceful, and relentlessly effective—yet mediated through a refined sense of control. It channels the genre’s inherent ferocity and rawness while introducing subtle inflections around a versatile, constantly shifting structure that adds depth and complexity. The result is an organic duality: strength and roughness coexisting with freshness, agility, and rhythmic velvet. Layered patterns build a sonic texture that feels like an open flame—expansive, consuming, and impossible to contain.
