For its fifth LP release, RAWQTRDL005, RAW Quarter doesn’t look outward: it reactivates a bond. Vlad Bruackja returns to the label —not as repetition, but as expansion. In 2021, his re-dub of «Lamediscos» left a clear mark on the catalog: direct, functional, uncompromising. Today the return takes a different shape: an 8-track album that doesn’t respond to a format but to an accumulated process. There is time here, development, and an identity sharpening itself. This is not a one-off gesture: it’s a sustained declaration.

From Bogotá, Bruackja articulates a line that doesn’t seek to fit into anything already existing. Broken rhythms, dense atmospheres, and industrial drive coexist in a terrain where club function and artistic depth don’t exclude each other —they feed one another. Aggressive but enveloping. Physical but cerebral. Each track operates as an autonomous unit, designed to dominate the floor while pushing the limits of what’s expected. Bruackja is not just an alias: it’s a structure under construction. Emerging in 2023 under the direction of Andrés Sepúlveda, the project condenses a vision where raw techno unfolds without filters. Broken rhythm, textural darkness, and a constant physical energy that doesn’t exhaust itself —it only transforms. With releases on RAW Quarter and Dutch label New York Hunters, his work occupies a very specific zone: where club technique intersects with a multidisciplinary logic. References to the industrial exist, but also to global audiovisual culture —not as quotation, but as working material.

In the studio and behind the booth, the direction is always one: precision without loss of intensity. Each track responds to a clear function —activate, sustain, push— without sacrificing originality. In Bruackja, techno is not merely a tool: it’s experience-oriented sound design, built to impact the body and reorganize perception from the floor inward.

«151kmxh» carries speed in its name, but its intelligence lies in how it manages that speed. The sound presents near-manifest latencies that quickly reveal their full strength —but do so with a disarming subtlety. Through precisely constructed sonic labyrinths, the track achieves a detour that wonderfully disorients the dancer: losing them with purpose, misdirecting them by design.

And once the dancer finds themselves —or rather, once the sound of the track decides it’s time for them to be found— they have been completely subsumed into the rhythmic will of the piece, whose synthesis has taken a suggestive turn that nothing announced. More labyrinths, more cadent dance floors carried with mastery, all held together by a meticulously crafted sound that leaves no loose ends. The kind of track that makes you wonder whether you got lost or whether it was all calculated from the beginning —and the answer, of course, is the latter.
