From Russia arrives the second Various Artists installment from the recently created label Message 431 —a project that from its very name establishes a deliberate distance from everything conventional. Because Message 431 doesn’t issue declarations: it transmits signals. Its proposition doesn’t seek to impose certainties but to open experiences, allowing each listener to decide what to do with what they receive.
Its ideas are forged through listening, sensitivity, and that deeply personal way in which sound becomes something different for everyone who inhabits it. It is a techno transmission: a raw, deep, and hypnotic sonic architecture that unfolds like an encrypted code in the darkness —offering no decryption key. That, precisely, is its virtue.
This second installment comprises five tracks —and among them, the one we present arrives from Perm, Russia, from Nikita Zavodchikov, an artist who describes himself, with a refreshing honesty, as a noisemaker. Not producer, not DJ, not artist —maker of noise. There is a declaration of intent in that word worth more than any elaborate biography. His contribution to this compilation is titled Ticket to Chaos —and as in the best cases, the title doesn’t lie.
The track opens with powerful sounds that stabilize on elevated notes with a speed that surprises, and from those heights, rather than containing itself, it detonates further. What follows is a territory of high-intensity delirium whose collision —both floor-level and mental— causes collapses, shooting stars amid spatial volcanic lava: an image that sounds extreme until you hear it and realize it’s the most precise description possible.
The final synthesis emerges from constant, orthogonal, and perennial collisions that generate even more chaos rather than resolving it —as if each impact produced three new points of friction. Hence the title being so exact: it is not a metaphor or an empty promise. It is an itinerary. And the destination, as clearly stated, is chaos. A chaos perfectly constructed.
