The trajectory of Janos Emporio stretches across decades of musical transformation while preserving one central element: curiosity as a permanent driving force. Beginning in the 1980s as a guitarist in a metal band, his relationship with sound was shaped early on by physical intensity, emotional weight, and a sensibility deeply connected to atmosphere. As alternative rock gradually reshaped the musical landscape, his listening naturally moved toward more open and fluid territories.
By the early 1990s, electronic music emerged as a new point of expansion. Influences such as Underworld and Deep Dish operated not only as dancefloor references, but as gateways into a dimension where repetition, spatiality, and perception could be reorganized entirely. At the same time, traces of synth and new wave aesthetics from formative artists like Ultravox, Depeche Mode, and Classix Nouveaux resurfaced, generating a synthesis where nostalgia, mechanical pulsation, and nocturnal sensuality began coexisting within the same sonic language.
Between the mid-1990s and the early 2000s, Janos maintained a steady presence throughout the club and bar scenes of Tampere and Helsinki. His name became associated with an increasingly rare quality: the ability to connect different eras, genres, and emotional states without disrupting the flow of the dancefloor. Rather than simply selecting records, his sets seemed to construct transitions — subtle sonic mutations where house, electro, disco, and techno dissolved naturally into one another with hypnotic fluidity.
That same spirit continues defining his current work. The sound of Janos Emporio moves between house and rough, sensual disco textures while maintaining a warm groove that feels permanently suspended beneath low lights and humid surfaces. There is something simultaneously human and mechanical inside his productions: rhythmic lines pushing the body forward while synthetic layers generate the sensation of nocturnal memory lingering outside linear time.
Within that framework arrives ‘Love Beats’, catalog reference EABE-LXXXI on EABE, a three-track release where house, dirty disco, electro, and subtle techno impulses converge into an architecture designed for continuous movement. The EP unfolds through friction between elegance and rawness, sophistication and sweat. Every track feels built to slowly occupy space, allowing the groove to breathe until it fully takes over the atmosphere.
“Love Poem” opens the journey with immediate electrical energy, carefully grounded by dry percussion and almost tribal pulsations supporting the entire structure. The track evolves progressively without relying on abrupt climaxes; its force emerges through accumulation and detail. The texture becomes velvety and immersive while simultaneously preserving a latent pressure that never fully dissolves. Between hypnotic grooves, warm frequencies, and barely suggested electro flashes, the track develops an extraordinary duality: sensual delicacy and restrained power coexisting within the same sonic body.
