Conrado Stein has been part of the Buenos Aires electronic scene for some time, building a sound that moves comfortably between the club and more emotional territory. We have already featured his music at Club Furies, and now he returns with Sinestesia, his debut release on Detroit Classic Gallery. The label has long looked toward the deeper side of electronic music, with a particular affection for the spirit of Detroit, making this a fitting home for Stein’s latest work.
Across four original tracks, Sinestesia finds a natural balance between movement and feeling. The release also brings in logos, whose voice appears on Sinestesia and Hipnótica, becoming part of the tracks rather than simply sitting above them. The result gives the record a more human dimension, while three remixes expand the material through different perspectives: Pink Concrete reworks Sinestesia, Gockel takes on Senzer, and JXXXO closes the release with his interpretation of Hipnótica.
Our premiere is Conrado Stein — Fractal, the second track on the record. There is something quietly absorbing about the way it develops, keeping its focus on rhythm while allowing its more atmospheric side to come forward. It carries the kind of energy that works equally well in a late-night set or through headphones, where the small details have more room to settle in.
With Sinestesia, Conrado Stein gives Detroit Classic Gallery a concise introduction to his world: four originals, three remixes, and a clear sense of where emotion and club music can meet. Fractal sits right at the center of that idea, holding onto the physical pull of the dancefloor while leaving enough space for something more introspective to emerge.
