Club Furies

Műhely is one of our favorite techno labels. Besides being a record label, it is a Budapest event series, run by Adam Krasz, Normal Tamas, and Obwigszyh. This trio has been committed to boosting the local scene with their iconic rave parties, nights of euphoria, dancing, and sweat; in addition to an excellent curation in the sound of their label.

For their latest release, they present LEKTRO, the alter ego of Juan Aguilera, born in Cordoba (Spain), and currently based in Budapest. At a very young age, he became interested in electronic music, exploring the breakbeat scene in the south of Spain. Soon his musical taste shifts towards techno and dark club, and he starts producing his own music focusing on hardware, drum machines, and synthesizers.

In 2022 he self-produces his first EP ‘Ante Meridiem’, which will be expanded and completed in 2023 releasing his first LP ‘Post Meridiem’ on the label Diffuse Reality, performing his first live shows in Spain and Berlin using analog machines. For the Hungarian label, he presents an EP titled Karbonis, his first release in Budapest on the Műhely label. Six tracks of atmospheric techno, sometimes more aggressive and sometimes brighter, but always focused on club sonic landscapes.

Levitation is the track that closes this work, and the one that opens the universe again in an infinite end/beginning loop. Levitation is the sensation of staying in the air without any point of support. In the sound of LEKTRO, this sensation reaches a new meaning especially if we understand it in the context of an immersion in sound. If you let yourself be carried away by the sound, you will become fully immersed. With careful sound design, agglutinated in fine layers with different nuances and rhythms, one arrives at a rather delicate whole.

In the end, the fine caresses of LEKTRO‘s sound submerge us in ethereal idylls that reach the absolutization of levitation. Once the end of this track arrives it’s time to start again. Another great release from Műhely in the hands of who immediately becomes one of our favorites.
